A Short Story, All Apologies, by Spotlight Author Cam Rascoe - A Life Lesson

“For me, writing is like breathing,

something I must do to  live;

 for I know my calling and

 purpose in this place.”

Cam Rascoe

All Apologies

In no relationship should the apologies always be offered by one party. None of us are perfect so we must all be at fault or mistaken on occasion.

Everything’s their fault, taking all the blame, you accuse with no shame forever in the right, right? They love you, so they accept your inequities and emotional abuse over loving truth. If ever the nerve to protest is reached they could never tell you to your face so instead they leave for you a letter.

In the writing they express their dissatisfaction in your actions while simultaneously professing their love for you.

What else should they write? According to you, they don’t have the right. Are you never at fault or are you just too proud to ask for forgiveness? Is this what your love deserves or just all that you are willing to give?

If you are always try to kill off the love,

how in the world can it possibly live?

Selfishly proud,

unappreciative of the love,

If you have to always be right,

you may one day find yourself right…

by yourself.

All Apologies
