I wish to take the time to thank Glenda for showcasing me as her spotlighted author for the month of November 2010.




I was most fortunate to discover Glenda on the internet while conducting some PR work in reference to my novel, A Travel in Time to Grand Pré. The review that she posted on August 10, 2010, warmed my heart, for I had so hoped that a connoisseur of books would be able to see all that I was trying to convey throughout the text.

I was quite pleased to discover that Travel in Time to Grand Pré was not in the least what she had been expecting. To catch someone, unexpectedly, off guard in such a manner, works for some, but not others. A unique and fascinating plunge into history, it delves into historical genealogy, Biblical archaeology, quantum physics, metaphysics and spirituality. To state that it is merely of the historical fiction genre simply does not hold true. I prefer to think of it as belonging to the visionary and metaphysical fiction category; one that may well be of my own making.

As Glenda also shares, there are some who may find the material disturbing. Why, you ask? Primarily because the material shared within may challenge the belief system of many readers. However, for those that are willing to explore the extensively researched documentation, this book should be considered a must read.

Is it an alternative historical tale, you ask? Hypothetically speaking, perhaps.

Could it be the interlacing of fantasy upon history? Theoretically speaking, quite conceivably.

Better yet, might it be the work of a research historian who has merged all of her research to arrive at a potential new truth? This is where I challenge you, the reader, to decide, and deliberate, upon the answer for yourself. Like Glenda, I also revel in unique.

A researcher with the diversity of interest as Michele Doucette has brought a wealth of information, not only to me, but to my readers! Even now, I remember her information on cyrstals, as I read my latest book, a fantasy that is filled with crystals being used to heal and increase power. Having read Michele's articles before I started certainly helped me better appreciate this new book!

When we open ourselves to read what others write, even if it does not support our own beliefs, I believe we are giving ourselves and our beliefs a necessary challenge that will either make us stronger or guide us in a new path. The Lord’s Prayer

Yeshua (Jesus) and his disciples “spoke a form of ancient Aramaic, a language including elements originating in what is now the Middle East, in particular of Babylonian, Phoenician, Assyrian, Akkadian origin - and most likely others as well. During the first century BCE when the person known as Jesus most probably lived, Aramaic was also influenced by Ancient Hebrew, although Aramaic is not directly related.” (i)

“Aramaic is not a “literal” language that can be translated word for word as with most modern languages, but was rather a more poetic or “graphic,” “descriptive” language which was typical of that era as also seen for example in the hieroglyphics of Ancient Egypt and the Maya of Mesoamerica and so on.” (ii)

We know that the Gospels were originally written in Greek before being transcribed into Latin, followed by medieval English. In addition, the original texts were further corrupted when Constantine created the Roman (Catholic) religion, giving “power and control to the 'new religion' through the invocation of fear and guilt.” (iii)As centuries passed, the words of these Gospels were frequently transformed so as to maintain this power and control. One was simply not allowed to question the so-called word of God.

With that having been said, how much of the Bible can be said to represent accurate messages and teachings?

Given that Aramaic is a poetic, artistic, interpretive script, and one that cannot be translated literally, in revisiting various translations of The Kadish, which later became the construct for The Lord’s Prayer, Adrian Cooper has written a more modern and understandable version.

Based upon the original texts, it might be said that he has also been able to maintain the truth, purity and wisdom of the original.

The Lord’s Prayer


Our Source, of whom all realms of the universe are eternally expressed.


May we experience your Love and Light in the purest way, at the highest vibration as you express your glory through us, as us.


May we thus express and experience our personal universe within, as we express our experience, and through the greater universe without.


Inspire us to seek only genuine, virtuous needs while liberating us from all negative thoughts, feelings and emotions that physically bind us, just as we likewise unconditionally forgive others.

Let us not be attracted to illusory, transient, material possessions or relent to the demands of the ego, that we may, through your infinite mind, freely and joyfully experience Oneness with our true divine path and being.


You are the one eternal expression of divine inspiration, unconditional love and spiritual energy through which the glory of the universe perpetuates.

In essence, this makes me wonder even further about the Cathars.

In keeping with Cathari beliefs, there were some who believed that the “purpose of man’s life on Earth was to transcend matter, perpetually renouncing anything connected with the principle of power, and thereby attaining union with the principle of love.”(iv) According to others, “man’s purpose was to reclaim or redeem matter, spiritualising and transforming it.” (v)

In addition, they also believed that “there existed within mankind a spark of divine light. This light, or spirit, had fallen into captivity within a realm of corruption identified with the physical body and world.”(vi) The God of the Old Testament had nothing whatsoever in common with the God of Love known to the Cathars. Many today would also find themselves agreeing with this statement.

Accepting the doctrine of reincarnation, the Cathars believed that what could not be accomplished within the time span of one life time would merit their return at another time. This has also been called the transmigration of souls.

Regarded as a dangerously heretical sect, for more than just these beliefs, of course, the Roman Catholic church sought to eradicate them through what has come to be known as the Albigensian Crusade, as led by Simon de Montfort (ironically, another ancestor of mine).

A Quick Study of the Chakras

The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning wheel. If we were able to see the chakras, we would observe a wheel of energy continuously revolving or rotating. Clairvoyants perceive chakras as colorful wheels or flowers with a hub in the center.

The chakras begin at the base of the spine and finish over the top of the head. Though fixed in the central spinal column, they are located on both the front and back of the body, and also work through the body.

Each chakra vibrates and rotates at different speeds. The root or first chakra rotates at the slowest speed, the crown or seventh chakra at the highest.

Each chakra is stimulated by its own and complimentary color, and a range of gemstones for specific uses.

The chakra colors are of the rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The size and brightness of the wheels vary with individual development, physical condition, energy levels, disease, or stress.

If the chakras are not balanced, or if the energies are blocked, the basic life force will be slowed down. The individual may feel listless, tired, out of sorts, or depressed.

Not only will physical bodily functions be affected so diseases may manifest, but the thought processes and the mind may also be affected, with the individual becoming preoccupied with negative attitudes, fears and doubts.

A constant balance between the chakras promotes health and a sense of well being. If the chakras are opened too much, a person could literally short circuit themselves with too much universal energy going through the body. If the chakras are closed, this does not allow for the universal energy to flow through them properly which may also lead to disease.

Most of us react to unpleasant experiences by blocking our feelings and stopping a great deal of our natural energy flow. This affects the maturation and development of the chakras. Whenever a person blocks whatever experience he/she is having, this, in turn, blocks the chakras, which eventually become disfigured. When the chakras are functioning normally, each will be ‘open’, spinning clockwise to metabolize the particular energies needed from the universal energy field.

As already mentioned, any imbalances that exist within any chakra may have profound effects upon either our physical or emotional bodies. It is possible to use our quartz crystals and gemstones to rebalance all chakric centers. Once the chakra has been properly balanced, then our bodies gradually return to normal.

The reason why crystals and gemstones are such wonderful and powerful healing tools is because of what science calls the piezoelectric effect. Crystals and gemstones respond to the electricity that is coursing through your body. If the energy is sluggish, the constant electrical vibrations of the stones will help to harmonize, balance, and stimulate these energies.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also involves healing. Administered by the laying on of hands, it is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy (understood by the Chinese over 5,000 years ago) flows through us.

The practitioner uses his or her hands in the energy field of the client to facilitate healing. The client remains fully clothed and in a laying position. The practitioner usually moves his or her hands at a distance of a few inches from the body, although touching can be involved.

If one’s life force energy, or chi, is low, we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If one’s life force energy, or chi, is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words.

Rei (pronounced ray) means God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power.

Ki (pronounced key) refers to life force energy.

As a result, Reiki is actually spiritually guided life force energy.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and overall self improvement.

“While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from God, many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.”

As a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, I send long distance Reiki to those who make the request, claiming only to be a facilitator of the Universal Energy, meaning that it is up to the individual(s) in question to use these energies in order to heal themselves.

“In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.”

Crystal Skulls...By Michele Doucette

I have been collecting Crystal Skulls for the past several years. Metaphysically, the symbol of the skull represents the higher mind. To attain the higher mind of spiritual awareness and psychic ability, we must be released from the thrall of the lower cognitive mind. There are three types of crystal skulls –

[1] Contemporary crystal skulls (those being made by modern carvers)

[2] Old crystal skulls (made anywhere from 100 to 1000 or 1500 years ago)

[3] Ancient crystal skulls (made anywhere from over 2000 years ago to several thousands of years ago)

The skulls that I am guardian to all fit into the Contemporary crystal skull category. I have, however, purchased several skulls from Sherry Whitfield Merrell, current custodian of SYNERGY, one of the world’s verified Ancient crystal skulls. In keeping, these skulls have been fully charged with SYNERGY’s subtle energy.

There is no known scientific test to date that can determine when a crystal skull was created (as in determining its age), but one generally experiences a much more powerful energy that is linked to the Ancient crystal skulls in comparison to the modern ones. This does not mean, however, that one crystal skull is greater or lesser than another in terms of importance.

Ancient cultures believed that it was the skull that housed the soul, meaning that they believed that the soul of the person lived inside the human skull.

It has been said that crystal skulls were a powerful tool for healing the body, mind and spirit within such cultures as those belonging to the Mayans, the Aztecs, and even the Atlanteans.

It is known that there exist thirteen ancient skulls. A few of the ancient skulls have surfaced today, but not all. It has been said that, in the very near future, all the skulls will surface and come together. When this happens, it is said that they will bring a very important message to all of mankind.

In much the same way that computers on the Internet are connected and can send and receive information from each other, it is my belief that all of the crystal skulls on the planet are interconnected through some type of etheric energy network. As one’s crystal skulls awakens (becomes activated), it can both receive information and project outwards from this energy network and/or from any crystal skull that is linked to it.

Imagine the possibilities of this last paragraph. In comparing crystal skulls to computers, one gets the sense that they, too, hold tremendous information that can help humanity in many ways.

They can be utilized as tools for healing. In addition, they are a catalyst for helping people to see their true nature. Like a mini-energy vortex, they may propel a person to release physical, mental, emotional, and pastlife blockages very quickly, which helps one to see oneself.

In essence, crystal skulls are akin to a mirror, showing us what resides within.

As shared earlier, I am currently working on a volume unlike anything that I have written to date. I was holding my Siberian Charoite skull (left hand) one day and my left hand began beating a slow and steady pulse. Not only that, by my right hand began vibrating in the same manner, almost as if the crystal wanted me to translate its energies into words; and so it has begun.

In keeping, I am sitting down with specific crystals, doing my best to give a wee bit of background history, before asking them what it is that they wish to share. I close my eyes, meditate on the energies of the crystal, and then write down those words and directions that come to me.

This shall become Healing the Planet and Ourselves: How To Raise Your Vibration.

I have been told by many crystal skull caretakers that when one agrees to become a guardian of a crystal skull, their whole life changes. In fact, Native legends speak of the fact that crystal skulls carry messages for all mankind. It appears, then, that I am doing my best to assist, courtesy of the above.

Crystals and Stones...By Michele Doucette

I received my Crystal Healing Practitioner diploma, through Stonebridge Associated Colleges in the UK, on September 6, 2005. By July 2006, I had completed a two-year Literacy program, acquiring a Masters of Education degree from MSVU.

In keeping with the fundamental aspects of this physical experience, we speak of atoms as being the basic building blocks of matter. Comprised of particles called protons, electrons and neutrons, atoms join together to make molecules. Molecules, in turn, form most of the objects that exist in this physical existence.

There is a law of resonance which states that “when one system encounters another, similar system, their vibrations must come into a state of resonance (harmonic vibration).”(i)  This law also states that “the smaller field of vibration will be the one that will be changed to match the larger field of vibration.”(ii)

This means that when you pick up a crystal or stone, the vibration of that mineral enters into a state of resonance with the atoms (that are of a similar vibration) located within your own body, thereby creating a larger resonant field (of harmonic vibration) between your energy and the energy of the crystal or stone.

It is this vibration that has been associated with the energetic shift that many experience, which may also include the loosening of blockages within the physical body, thereby attributing to the new understandings (perceptiveness, awareness) and healing (harmonizing, renewal) that can be gleaned as a result.

There are many crystals and stones that I am drawn to; some based on metaphysical properties, some based on formation (structure), some based on color.

The Collective: Essays on Reality

While my fifth book, The Collective: Essays on Reality could be deemed a book able to stand on its own, in truth, there are many shared elements that exist between it and the other spiritual/metaphysical volumes.


A collection of two essays, it has been my personal experience that one must first acknowledge what appears to be happening before attempting to reconfigure the responses of their past; hence, The Collective: Essays  on Reality presents material that may elicit uncertainty and confusion for some readers.

Essay One was written to better inform the reader so that he/she can work on actively disengaging from the Matrix.

Essay Two focuses on different ways in which one can more effectively work towards changing themselves.

Seek ye (knowledge) so that ye may find (knowledge), for it is positive energy that nourishes the soul and truth that liberates.

If I may share the following words from the Acknowledgments section.

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.

These very words, attributed to Galileo, are profound in their simplicity.

Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

Carl Gustav Jung said it all with this brief statement.

I think we all have a little voice inside us that will guide us. If we shut out all the noise and clutter from our lives and listen to that voice, it will tell us the right thing to do.

My favorite remembrance of Christopher Reeve was his portrayal of Richard Collier, a playwright who became smitten by a photograph of a young woman at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, in the 1980 romantic fantasy, Somewhere In Time. These particular words of his seem even more pertinent to me now.

The Optimist Creed...

"The Optimist Creed" was written in 1912 by Christian D. Larson, appearing in a book entitled Your Forces  and How to Use Them. The version quoted herein has been taken from Science of Mind 71 (June 1998). I shall be sharing it herein, interspersed with my own thoughts and reflections. Thereafter, do take the time to reread only the bolded segments that comprise the totality of the creed itself.


Promise yourself


To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Peace of mind refers to the absence of mental stress and anxiety; a place whereby one can experience serenity, calm, quiet, comfort of mind, all of which can be said to equate to inner peace. I simply cannot stress how important it is to achieve, and maintain, peace of mind. Truth be told, it is this emotional freedom that will set everyone free from their self-imposed confinement.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

Health, happiness and prosperity (an overflowing fullness of the heart) equates to abundance. Energy always follows intent. Positive thoughts attract positive results. Our thoughts, beliefs, expectations, words and actions create a magnetic field around us that attracts to us people and situations that match our energy and our vibration. In talking health, happiness and prosperity, we are further shaped by those thoughts, outwardly creating even more abundance for ourselves and others.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

No one is more important and/or less important than another; all are equal in their value to themselves and each other. Unfortunately, many may need to hear what others love about them in order to be able to even begin to acknowledge that they have many things to love about themselves. Even if that person finds it hard to believe that someone could like a particular thing about them, it is important that they learn to trust that their friends know, and can identify, what it is that they like about them. Each of us has a role to play in this equation.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

While it is not known to whom the following quote can be attributed, it is well worth citing herein.

The good you find in others, is within you as well. The faults you find in others, are your faults as well. After all, to recognize something in your outer world, you must have a reference point in your inner world. The world around you is a reflection, a mirror showing you the person you are. To change your world, simply change yourself. See the best in others, and you will be at your best. Give to others, and you give to yourself. Love others, and you will be loved. Seek to understand, and you will be understood. Listen, and your voice will be heard. Teach, and you will learn.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

Energy always follows intent. In thinking only the best, in working only for the best, in expecting only the best, you will, without a doubt, experience only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

Sharing in the success of others motivates others to do the same; thereby sharing in your personal successes as well.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

While we can learn from our mistakes, we are not meant to beat ourselves up over them. If we put ourselves down, we are prone to relegating others to the same treatment. It becomes in forgetting the mistakes that we can move onwards towards even greater achievements.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

Having made the decision to always wear a cheerful countenance, it is amazing at how well you feel. You can make an incredible difference in someone’s life by always greeting another with a cheery smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.


Now this is so very accurate, is it not? To give to one’s self is not being selfish. How can you assist another when you have not taken the time to work on yourself? As you work on improving yourself you become so engrossed in what you need to do that you simply refrain from thoughts, beliefs, expectations, words and actions of a negative demeanor, and that, of course, includes criticizing others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Peace of mind and sheer happiness eliminates everything else, including worry, anger and fear.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds.

Most are familiar with the saying actions speak louder than words. Take pride in your outwardly accomplishments, sharing such with the world, but without the presence of ego. Know that you, too, can create as Yeshua (Jesus) did, coming from heart-based consciousness.

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

The world is a projection, an extension, if you will, of your own mind as well as your thought processes. The thoughts you think result in what you see. You can choose, therefore, to see an abominable, doom and gloom, world or you can choose to see a wondrous, beautiful and magnificent world.

If you remain true to the best that is in you, if you learn to live in alignment with the heart, if you remain positive, thereby no longer contributing to the collective negativity, you will have succeeded at something so monumental, so powerful, so necessary, that others, upon witnessing your example, will be able to follow suit, should that be their choice.

You must reclaim your power, a power that has always been yours but one that you elected to give away, a power that involves discipline of the mind and an earnest desire to live in alignment with Source.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Michele Doucette and I hail from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. In the days of the French Acadian people, Truro was known as Cobequid, and referred to today as the hub of Nova Scotia. The twice daily tidal bore on the Salmon River makes a marvelous natural spectacle with the level of the river rising one metre in just five minutes and reaching the high water mark of 15 metres (49 feet) within the hour. This specific phenomenon particularly dramatic at spring tides when the water can rise as high as 21 metres (69 feet). These huge tides are responsible for some very striking coastal scenery in the Truro area.

Upon graduating from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1985, I married and moved to the west coast of Newfoundland, Canada. I have been employed as a Special Education teacher since that time.

When did you first start writing?

As long as I can remember, I was reading and writing. I can even remember winning spelling contests in Grade 1. I just had such a love for the written word that I always knew I would become a writer. I probably began writing in earnest when I was in Junior High.

Was there any person, or persons, in your life that inspired you to write?

This question will always take me back to my maternal grandparents, with whom I shared a very strong relationship, probably because I was the oldest grandchild born in Nova Scotia.

My grandmother was French Acadian (Breau) as was her mother (Mallet). As shared in the book, I would always listen to them speaking their native tongue (French) whenever they would get together. Despite having lost this aspect of my culture, perhaps this is what instilled, in me, a sheer love of history.

My grandfather was Irish (Feeley). As shared in the dedication section, he was the best storyteller that I had the pleasure to know. It mattered naught how many times you had heard the same story, over and over again. I guess you could say that he had a charismatic way about him that would draw the people back, time and time again. He, too, had a love of both books and words.

Is writing something that comes naturally to you or is it something that you have to spend a great deal of time working at?

Writing is as natural a form of expression to me as is breathing. That is about the best comparison that I can make. Writing is something that I am passionate about. Passion + Skill = Voice. Writing allows me to share my voice with others.

From where do your writing ideas come?

Mostly, they come from experiences and/or topics that I am deeply passionate about. Lately, I have been receiving ideas and images in the form of dreams (which I later record). There are so many ideas waiting to be birthed.

What inspired you to write A Travel in Time to Grand Pré?

I began working on my family genealogies some 15+ years ago. In the course of investigating my maternal lineage, I was astounded to discover a 9th G Grandmother, Catherine de Baillon, with proven links to Charlemagne. That was when individuals and families began branching off to many personages of royalty, including Emperors, in different countries.

Given that history had always been my passion in school, my genealogical endeavors were merely an offshoot of the same. I have primarily French Acadian roots (maternal: Breau, paternal: Doucet(te) and Muise) as well as aboriginal ancestry on both sides.

It was at this same time that I was also quite enthralled with the plausibility of a holy bloodline as discussed in The Holy Blood, The Holy Grail. I was also a member of several online groups related to the research of the Sinclair/St. Clair family and their connections to King William I of England (also known as William the Conqueror), another notable ancestor of mine.

Having identified my own mtDNA results, I was fascinated by what was coming to light and how it was going to serve to rewrite history. I had also been delving into the metaphysical realm, courtesy of my spiritual journey of close to 20 years. An avid reader, time travel (quantum) had been a favorite genre of mine for many years.

Somehow, all of these different elements found their way into the fabric of the story itself. In a plot that came to me in 1996, I knew how I wanted the story to begin and I knew how I wanted the story to end. While I was sure about certain elements for inclusion in the story, I was still very surprised at how the story unfolded. When the time came for me to begin writing, the entire process took less than six months.

How would you describe your novel?

While I would describe it as historical fiction, in truth it is some much more. Visionary and Metaphysical fiction is another term that comes to mind. Having said that, the story embraces a multitude of differing elements: French Acadian history, the pre-Columbian voyage of Henry I Sinclair in 1398, the Cathars of Montségur, the Knights Templar, the Merovingians, elements of quantum physics, metaphysics and spirituality.

Coming at it from a purely personal perspective, while there is much truth contained within, it is up to each individual to accurately discern his/her own Truth throughout the reading. That having been said, each person will come away with their own thoughts and reflections.

I was most pleased to read, in your written review, that A Travel in Time to Grand Pré was not in the least what you were expecting. Like you, I am also an avid fan of unique.  (Read My Review)

What do you want your readers to get from this book?

First and foremost, I want them to be thoroughly entertained, to enjoy the read for the absolute pure pleasure of reading. An avid reader myself, this is always what I am hoping for when I pick up a new book. I want to be utterly fascinated and drawn into the storyline. I want to be able to create pictures in my mind as I am reading. I want to be able to escape and feel as if I am actually living the story. Likewise, this is also what I would hope that my readers would get from their reading.

Secondly, I want the reader to be able to experience a multitude of emotions (laughter, tears, philosophical thought), all of which earmark a writer who has been able to become one with the text. When I am moved by a piece of writing, it leaves it indelible mark on my soul. If I have been able to do the same for each of my readers, then I will have been satisfied by my efforts.

I have been told by a great many people that I am a catalyst, meaning one who leads another to new information and/or new discoveries, therefore precipitating an event or a change. If this serves to be true for a great many who read A Travel in Time to Grand Pré, while ingesting the spiritual messages scattered throughout the text, making them their own in the way that was needed at the time of reading, I will have succeeded in my undertaking as an author.

It is also my hope that each time the reader revists the text, that he/she will glean something new and noteworthy about themselves.

Being a writer allows one to avail of artistic license when it comes to interpreting research, especially if they wish to place a different slant on something that may have been discussed by another writer. For myself, it all comes down to creating believable and credible characters, seamlessly weaving them into a dynamic and entertaining storyline.

If I have been able to provide the reader with a storyline that touches their inner being, allowing them to experience a myriad of emotions, then I have succeeded. If I have been able to weave a tale that leaves the reader thinking about the endless mysteries and possibilities that each of us carry within us on this journey we call life, then I have succeeded.

Your goals for your writing are, I believe, illustrated through the presentation of your story as well as the breadth of your documentation and even your extensive bibliography. To whet readers' appetites more, Tell us about some of the more prominent characters in the book. How did you bring them to life?

Every writer has to take the time to become one with the characters that he/she creates. In this way, they draw on their own experiences of life. As a writer, you do your utmost to create personalities that are both believable and credible.

Madeleine Sinclair connects with the Knights Templar, courtesy of her Sinclair lineage, a lineage that connects with King William I of England. While she has always been fascinated with her genealogy and the numerous royal connections that abound (sounds like someone you know already), she has always felt more at home with the French Acadian ancestry of her mother. These are the roots that have always beckoned, although she knows naught why.

Michel (dit Sophie) LeBlanc connects with the Merovingians, courtesy of his connection to Bertrand de Blanchefort, the sixth Grand Master of the Knights Templar, a great reformer of the order from 1156 to 1169. Michel does not understand why he is not content with his life in present day Acadie; that is, until he meets Madame Pêche.

Madame Pêche, a time traveler from fourteenth-century France, propelled forward to eighteenth-century Acadie, becomes both Michel’s dearest friend, as well as Madeleine’s confidante in 1754 Acadie.

Gabriel Sinclair, a Mi’kmaq cousin to Madeleine, courtesy of Henry I Sinclair’s pre-Columbian voyage of 1398, has a special treasure that he gifts her with, for she has been decreed the one to share this ancient and valuable tome with the citizens of the twenty-first century.

Together, these four central characters become involved in an unveiling that has long been destined by time itself.

It is that "unveiling" that I am looking forward to discussing with you further! First, Where did the inspiration for the character, Madeleine Sinclair, originate? Is she based on reality or purely fictional?

A dear friend of mine asked me this very same question, sharing that she re-read the Special Message from Madeleine Sinclair several times and was convinced that she is a real person and not a fictional character, telling me that I should be very proud whether she be fiction or not.

In part, Madeleine has been based on my life.

When I speak of childhood memories and summers in rural Nova Scotia, I am talking about my personal experiences on the farm of my maternal grandparents in Wentworth. In truth, breakfast cooked on the old wood stove was my favorite part of the day. No one has ever been able to boil an egg like Granny, myself included.

I would often wander across the road and down to the intervale, sitting beside the old oak tree on the bank beside the river. Indeed, I have always been a lover of solitude; that special time reserved just for me.

Listening to Granny and Granny Breau (my great grandmother) speak in French, I was totally captivated with the language of my ancestors. As stated, my grandparents were married on September 1, 1930, honeymooning at Grand Pré.

Like Madeleine, I also connect with King William I of England. Using knowledge of my genealogical findings, I then began to weave the storyline that resulted in this unique novel.

Do you think that time travel may really be possible someday?

If multiple dimensions of reality exist, then who is to say that time travel does not already exist?

Ahhh, the if...then...answer...that's why I could never become a true scientist... LOL So,  How did you find all of the interesting historical facts that were woven into this story?

In the course of my maternal genealogical undertakings, all started to become clear upon discovering my 9th G Grandmother, Catherine de Baillon, a proven descendant of Charlemagne. I continued to research, to discover, to make online connections, to develop online relationships, to pose questions. Perhaps I knew that someday this information would be needed.

What historical myths would you most like to see changed in people’s minds?

In the course of my spiritual journey over these last twenty years, much time was spent in both reflection and introspection. As a High School student, I was grappling with the difficulty of trying to understand why priests within the Catholic tradition were not allowed to marry. Even back then I was questioning as to whether Jesus may have been married or not.

In the course of discovering this to be highly probable (and which I personally believe to be true), it all began to make sense. Given the historical background of the time, Jesus could only have been addressed as Rabbi (a Hebrew name meaning teacher) if he were married.

According to the Talmud, a man without a wife is considered incomplete (Babylonian Talmud, Yebomoth 62b). In addition, the Talmud argues that a man should love his wife as much as he loves himself, and honor her more than he honors himself (Sanhedrin 76b). In fact, it was believed that one who honors his wife was said, by the classical rabbis, to be rewarded with wealth (Bava Metzia 59b). In keeping, a husband was expected to discuss with his wife any worldly matters that might arise in his life (Gittin 6b).

The term rabbi was derived from the Hebrew root word רַב, rav. In biblical Hebrew this meant both great and revered. The title of Rabbi was highly honored by the Jewish people. This was not a poor, uneducated man. In truth, Jesus was a scholar.

Who was never accepted by the Jewish people as The Messiah...isn't that a reflection of His not following the Jewish laws, per se? We'll talk more on this I am sure at the Chat. But, A Travel in Time to Grand  Pre does appear  to contain some deep rooted spiritual messages. What do you see as being the most important message in the book?

Ahhh, you have now touched upon the portion of the story whereby I wish to engage the reader in thinking about the endless mysteries and possibilities that each of us carry within us on this journey we call life. The most important message is actually a dual message of love as well as divinity.

One of the most challenging tasks we face is to become nonjudgmental. As you learn to disentangle youself from both emotionally charged situations as well as from the collective mindset of laws, rules and dogma, you are finally able to experience your own freedom and resolution. It is the embracing of this higher vibration that an internal shift in consciousness takes place, thereby enabling you to Become (who you truly are).

This is the way to remembering the sacredness of all life. When you respond to people with love and compassion, you readily move from conflict to harmony. Such is the very freedom sought by all.

Living a life of gratitude, trust, love and peace is what generates more of the same, thereby continuously affecting others in a positive way.

Compassion is who we are. The keys to compassion lie in your ability to embrace all experiences as part of the one, without judgment. This is the greatest challenge that all face as they move towards greater states of personal mastery, which is the return to your truest form.

Demonstrating love through compassionate allowing means that you must love others enough to allow the range of their experience. Compassion is what you allow yourself to Become.

That's pretty heavy since time has shown that this is not a prevalent way of living in today's world.  Which leads us to another interesting aspect, that being that the reader in drawn into the spiritual equation of searching for their own Truth, which also equates to getting in touch with their own divinity, as I understand what you are saying?

Exactly. This is such an important aspect to the lives we are here living as spiritual beings. It is my hope that the message(s) contained within this novel are what will deeply resonate.

For some readers, this may be the first time that they will have been exposed to such a message. In this light, it is my hope that the words shared within A Travel in Time to Grand Pré will serve to awaken all to the divinity that we share.

One must take the time to enter the stillness of their own being, for all inherent Truth can only be found within. You need nothing on the outside to tell you that which you already know.

We are approaching a monumental breakthrough as can be applied to consciousness, both individually and collectively. The more we come to know who we really are, the more we live who we really are. In this way, our divinity shall be made manifest through love, peace, harmony, empathy, compassion, acceptance and nonjudgment.

A dear, dear friend of mine put it this way: A Travel in Time To Grand Pré is a journey to infinity. Magical and visionary, the more often I read it, the deeper in time I find myself. There is always something new, and it feels like Michele has hidden it there for the reader to find.

What kind of an environment do you prefer when you are writing?

As with studying, I also need quiet while I am writing. At most, I might be listening to some tranquil nature tracks. I write in my study where I am armed with computer, internet, printer and copious books.

Can you tell us more about the other books you have written?


With the first edition of A Travel in Time to Grand Pré having been released on July 3, 2009 (in time for the Congrès Mondial Acadien), the revised and updated version was released on March 16, 2010.

The Ultimate Enlightenment For 2012: All We Need Is Ourselves was released on April 23, 2010. With an easy conversational style, making this an enjoyable read, with a message that is loud and clear, I have been told that this volume certainly builds the case for one to awaken.

Turn Off The TV: Turn On Your Mind was released on June 30, 2010. With concepts that are easy to grasp, it has been shared that this deceptively simple book is rather masterful in that it tames both the complex and the intimidating.

Veracity At Its Best was released on August 5, 2010. Veracity comes from the Latin word veritas, meaning verifiable truth. Extremely easy to read and comprehend, one reader wrote to me, sharing these words: I have read much and am in the midst of my spiritual education but after reading your book, I finally get it. What was especially helpful to me was your explanation of the physical indications of the vibrational changes. I had been feeling it very strongly for months now and was concerned that it was something failing in my health (which is definitely not the case). Your advice about doing whatever you have to do to adjust to the changes put my fears to rest. I understand now that to help the world, I need to find peace within.

The Collective: Essays on Reality was released on August 12, 2010. In the words of one reviewer: The second paragraph on page 67 says it all, with clarity and simplicity.

If we want change for the better, we need to understand first what we have to deal with, and secondly that real change will not come from the top down, but rather from the bottom up which clearly means that, in order to be in control of our lives, we must also take responsibility for ourselves. Collectively, all are responsible for the current state of affairs.

The Wisdom of Crystals was released on August 20, 2010. In the words of Kellie Jo Conn, owner/operator of Avalon Crystals: When I first started reading The Wisdom of Crystals by Michele Doucette, I was astounded to see that she really understands the inner workings of healing stones and crystals. What are you working on now?

I am currently working on several manuscripts.

Healing the Planet and Ourselves: How To Raise Your Vibration is a book unlike anything that I have written to date. Being both a crystal guardian as well as a Crystal Healing Practitioner, many of the crystals are assisting me in this particular writing endeavor. While I still do my best to conduct research on specific stones, I find that their words are coming to me while I am doing my utmost to meditate upon their individual energies.

Germain Doucet, Sieur de LaVerdure: Ancestry of Michele Doucette shall be the final compilation of my 15+ years of research with respect to my paternal lineage.

Where do you see you and your writing in ten years?


Now that is always the interesting question, isn’t it?

Knowing that I can officially retire from Education in 5 years and 8 months, I see myself continuing as now: researching, writing, publishing and editing the work of other writers.

I have always been (and will always be) a researcher. It is just something that I intuitively know. As a result, I will always have something to write about, be it related to history, genealogy, current DNA findings, spirituality, metaphysics, consciousness awakening. The topics, at this point, appear to be endless.

What do you do when you suffer from writer’s block?

I retreat to my sanctuary, attempting to relax and meditate. I also ask my intuitive self (Higher Self) for insight and guidance.
How do you become knowledgeable about the topic(s) you want to write about?

I am always researching topics of interest on the internet. I locate books that I have my local library bring to me through Inter Library Loan. I read them and take notes. I locate books on Amazon. I put forth topic questions to like-minded souls in the hopes that they may also have something to add to the overall research equation.

What do you feel is your biggest accomplishment to date?

When school broke off for the summer holidays on June 24, 2010, I had published two books. When school resumed on September 7, 2010, I had published six books, meaning that four were published over the course of my summer vacation. I felt so compelled to complete those works that I wrote, re-read and edited non-stop.

Aside from writing, my biggest accomplishments have been my two children. I trust that they are proud of what I have done.

How do you feel about social site marketing?

While I have not utilized such to any great degree for the marketing of my books, aside from my Facebook Group for A Travel in Time to Grand Pré, I totally agree that social site marketing is an excellent PR strategy. In truth, I would like to know more.

What tips might you have for aspiring writers?

If writing is your passion, you must write. The more you write, the better you get to be at writing. Keep writing so that you, too, may find your voice and be able to share it with others.

Do not kid yourself. Writing is demanding work. There are countless manuscript attempts, re-reads and edits to be made. Covers need to be designed. Permission must be received from photographers to use their images. Likewise for any images featured throughout the text itself. You need to decide as to whether or not to go the traditional publishing route (publishing companies) or the self publishing POD (Print on Demand) route. Then comes the hours of doing your best to secure notable PR for your book.

Do you see yourself continuing in the field as a writer?

Most definitely. As the saying goes, once a writer, always a writer.

Everything is comprised of energy. Everything is vibration. All vibration is the result of energy in motion. Energy is held together to create matter. Matter is energy condensed to a slow vibration. There is one underlying field of energy, the Zero Point Field, that pervades everything, thereby giving purpose and unity to our world.

Everything in the universe has a unique vibrational energy. Every object, every being, every thought, every action, every psychological mood; in short, energy equals vibration. Energy and vibration are what life is all about.

Most people are enslaved by their thoughts, thereby creating by default (creation by way of an unconscious means). It simply does not occur to them that they can free themselves from the chatter of the mind.

Everyday life, for the multitude, seems to be fraught with worry, tension, anxiety and fear. Thoughts arise in one’s mind that serve to reflect these outer feelings. There can be no peace of mind, no stillness, when one is engulfed by such negativity, and, yet, inner peace is within reach of each and every individual.

The battlefield of the mind is merely the war that plays out between dark (ego) and light (mindfulness), a battle that everyone must conquer. Such is the journey towards self-realization, a journey in consciousness, a journey in metamorphosis, the quest for self-transformation, the journey of an observer, the journey to freedom. Such is the evolution of man.

The world, then, becomes a projection, an extension, if you will, of our own mind as well as our thought processes. The thoughts we think result in what we see. We can choose, therefore, to see an abominable, doom and gloom world or we can choose to see a wondrous, beautiful and magnificent world.

The war we are fighting is an internal one where the battlefield is our own mind and the emotions we feel, live, express, become the ammunition that is fired.

Everywhere we turn in the media, we are being bombarded with fear by way of video clips, audio clips and text. There are times when getting past this numbing fear feels like a complete impossibility. I know because I was once there, manipulated and controlled by my fears and anxieties. This becomes the distraction, you see; the means with which to keep you embroiled in fear.

The first monumental step becomes the realization that this is indeed the reality, the power mongers wanting to keep everyone frozen in a perpetual state of fear. It is only when an individual has arrived at this cognizance, that he/she can then begin to release themselves from the deadly stronghold of the illusion that one is powerless.

As stated before, the world that you see and experience is naught but a reflection of your own mind as well as the mind of the collective; hence, if you are to change what you see and experience, you must change what you think, feel and live on a day to day basis. It is imperative that you learn to live in alignment with your heart. This rising of your personal vibration will also add to the enhanced vibration of the whole, of the collective, of Mother Earth.

In continuing to place our focus and attention on the problems of the world, thereby adding to the negative collective viewpoint, we simply get more of the same. The question you must ask of yourselves is – is this what I want?

You have the power to experience and live your life the way that you want to see it. Everyone has the same choice.

Once you have experienced living in alignment with the heart, which is an increased sense of unity consciousness, you understand that duality no longer exists, for you have been able to transcend the illusion.

You are the revolution; a revolution whereby you must re-learn to think for yourself by taking your power back.

When you send out negative thoughts and emotions, not only do they affect yourself on an immediate and personal level, but they also affect the collective mind, the mind of the whole. Having shared this, all are responsible for current planetary disasters, myself included. It is imperative that you begin to understand the gravity of this situation, for only then can you begin to make the changes that are necessary, that are conducive, that are pertinent.

Having accepted the fact that all are responsible, each must then begin to take ownership and responsibility for having contributed to the situation(s) at hand. Step away from the poor me attitude, humbly embracing the power that exists within. Energy always flows to where one places their attention.

You learn to become pro-active by controlling your thoughts and emotions. Speaking from the heart, feeling from the heart, living from the heart, is the means through which you can do so.

One’s focus and attention needs to be placed on living from a heart-based consciousness as opposed to an ego-dominated consciousness. One must learn to protect their thoughts from fear and guilt so that they are better able to remain focused on love, compassion, nonjudgment; knowing that this is the way.

Stop watching the news on television. Stop reading the newspapers. Concentrate, instead, on what you want, and what you want to be, as opposed to its negative counterpart. Take the time to delve within. Meditate. Focus on choosing love, for you will always find refuge within your sacred temple.

When you come to the realization that you are a spiritual being having a human experience, in order to experience yourself fully, your vibration shifts and begins to rise to a higher state of consciousness.

The biggest thing we are here to do is work on our individual selves. If we can remain positive, thereby no longer contributing to the collective negativity, we will have succeeded at something so monumental, so powerful, so necessary, that others, upon witnessing our example, will be able to follow suit, should that be their choice.
