Iran? Israel? United States? Surely America, the Land of the Free is not included with those countries who choose to take freedom away from anybody other than one religion--Christianity?
During my life, working at West Virginia University, I have encountered many individuals with whom I worked daily. Those from other countries, Those from different religions. Those with no religion. I remember a conversation with a professor of physics. Somehow we had gotten into talking about whether God existed. We had a friendly debate, in fact, at which the professor concluded with a statement that he knew he could not convince me to his side... There was no rancor, no spewing by me of "You're going to Hell..." It was simply a discussion between two people who had different opinions.
I believe my opinion that God exists is Truth. Others may not. God gave us Free Will... Just as America has given us Freedom--Freedom for all...
But let's go to a different plot right now, today, the elimination of the Rule of Law. Yes, those laws that govern what happens within the United States. It crossed my mind, recently, that the conspiracy of the "rich and famous" to refer to one of the things that seems to be worshipped in America, is consuming the lives of millions of people. While, at the same time, we have turned away from the reality of what God really gave us.
So, what do I mean by this statement, especially about the elimination of the rule of law...
- One republican senator has held up routine personnel actions withholding salaries to our military families for over a month!
- one republican supreme court justice has been found to take bribes and yet still sits on the court system, refusing to recuse himself as normal...
- an ex-president, now being convicted for so many broken laws that we have to count them, see them daily on the news...and yet the republican party still supports him to again become president!
- Congressional republicans, just now, have added a bill to support Israel, only on the condition that the increase to the IRS to perform legal watchdog of the super rich who are not paying fair share. And, in particular, even though the ex-president has already been indicted for $250M owed to the State of New York, republicans continue to tell lies that the legal system should not be acting against this criminal, DJ Trump.
- The Rule of Law--the Constitution--is being ignored and/or manipulated to support the ability to purchase military style rifles, which has already been used over 500 times for mass shootings this year! Even adding a recent agreement for those with mental health issues would still be allowed to purchase guns! While one man with known mental illness, with a legal gun, committed a mass murder and then committed suicide...
- The rule of law, now being used by a federal court officer is delaying, manipulating the case against the former president in his theft and wrongful use of classified documents. This should have been an easy case to be brought to justice. Instead, the Trump-appointed judge is willing to do anything that the defendant wants to have done in order to delay/prevent Trump being convicted for espionage...
