Evening of Spring - Adolfo Caso

A fresh wind rolled down the hill
bringing a new force of life
to the quivering grass
amidst which
she and I walked.
What splendor of Night!

The moon made its way across the sky
while webs of tiny branches
whispered in unison:
Here they are; here they are,
the God-made couple.
I brought my hand to her breast
and there beheld paradise.
